Talk Turkey Tuesday Part IV
It’s Thanksgiving week and we’ve got your final preparations for the big day!
It’s Tuesday, so we are talking -it’s the final episode of our talk turkey! As the holiday is two days away you should be picking up the items that you ordered fresh several weeks ago, cooking and set your table!
Here’s my schedule when I hosted. I work full time so I would take off Wednesday.
Sunday
Set the table and clean the house.
TIP: Start making extra ice and store in ziplock freezer bags.
Monday Evening
Pickup orders and final grocery shopping for fresh items
Tuesday Evening
Prepare the appetizers and bake off the pies
Wednesday
Cook the turkey, slice on platter, cover and refrigerate.
Peel and cook the mashed potatoes and refrigerate -reheat in crockpot in the morning
Thursday Cook side dishes, spot pickup and set food on the buffet
Most importantly relax and enjoy the day! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
