Farmers Market Summer Dinner — A Garden to Table Celebration

A Table Worth Gathering Around

There is something quietly magical about a summer dinner party. The light lingers longer, the windows stay open, and the whole evening feels unhurried in the best possible way. It is the season that reminds us why we set a beautiful table in the first place — not for perfection, but for presence. For the people who pull up a chair and stay a little longer than they planned.

Summer entertaining does not have to be complicated to be memorable. In fact, the most beautiful gatherings we have ever hosted started with a single trip to the farmers market and a handful of pantry staples we already loved. When the ingredients are this good — ripe berries, fresh herbs, sweet corn still in the husk — the cooking practically does itself. Your job is simply to make the table as inviting as the food.

This menu was born on a Saturday morning walk through the market, basket in hand, with no plan other than to follow what looked beautiful. A tumble of wild berries here, a bunch of arugula there, a pork tenderloin from a local farm. By the time we got home, the menu had written itself. We hope it inspires you to do the same — to gather your people, set a gorgeous table, and let summer do the rest.

Before the First Guest Arrives, Your Table Tells the Story

A thoughtfully set table is the first course of any dinner party. It signals to your guests that they are somewhere special — that someone took the time to make this evening just for them. Our Garden to Table collection was designed exactly for moments like this: layered, lush, and full of the kind of botanical beauty that feels right at home alongside a farmers market feast.

We start with the April Cornell Rebecca Ruffle Quilted Placemat Set of 2 — Multi as the foundation. The soft, quilted texture and ruffled edge bring a romantic, garden-party warmth to the table that no linen alone can achieve. Layered directly on top, the Hester & Cook Die Cut Tomato Placemat adds a playful, editorial pop — the two-placemat styling technique is one of our favorite tricks for creating a tablescape that feels curated rather than matched. The quilted base grounds the look; the die-cut paper layer brings the personality.

At each place setting, stack the Le Jardin Cabbage 3-D Dinner Plate 11in with the Le Jardin Cabbage 3-D Salad Plate 9in nestled on top. The sculptural cabbage leaves feel like something straight from a kitchen garden, and they photograph beautifully. At the center of the table, the Citron 3-D Lemon Pitcher 2.25 qt. serves as the star of the centerpiece — filled with fresh lemonade, it is both functional and stunning, a piece that earns its place on the table every single time.

The Menu

Every dish on this menu was designed to be achievable on a weeknight but impressive enough for a dinner party. We leaned on Stonewall Kitchen pantry staples throughout — because the best entertaining secret is knowing which shortcuts are actually upgrades. All recipes are available on the blog at beeutifulbydesign.com.

Arrival — Farmers Market Lemonade

Welcome your guests with a pitcher of fresh-squeezed lemonade served right from the Citron 3-D Lemon Pitcher — because the best centerpiece is one that works. Muddle in a handful of fresh mint or a few sliced strawberries from the market for a seasonal twist. It sets the tone immediately: bright, fresh, and a little bit special.

Welcome — Stonewall Kitchen Queso & Farmers Market Crudité Board

While guests settle in, set out a generous crudité board anchored by Stonewall Kitchen Bacon Queso — warm, rich, and deeply satisfying alongside crisp market vegetables. Arrange radishes, snap peas, heirloom carrots, and cucumber spears around the bowl for a board that looks as good as it tastes. This is the course that buys you time in the kitchen and earns you compliments before dinner even begins.

Salad — Wild Berry & Arugula Salad

Peppery arugula, a tumble of wild berries, and a drizzle of Stonewall Kitchen Strawberry Balsamic Dressing — this salad is summer in a bowl. The dressing does the heavy lifting here, balancing sweet and tangy in a way that makes even the simplest greens feel elegant. Finish with a handful of toasted pecans or crumbled goat cheese if you like.

Entrée — Herb-Crusted Pork Tenderloin with Wild Blueberry Jam Pan Sauce

The centerpiece of the meal: a beautifully seared herb-crusted pork tenderloin finished with a pan sauce built on Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Jam. The jam melts into the pan drippings with a splash of red wine and a knob of butter, creating a sauce that is glossy, complex, and completely unforgettable. Slice the tenderloin on a board and spoon the sauce generously over the top.

Side — Grilled Farmhouse Mayo Corn

Grilled corn slathered in Stonewall Kitchen Farmhouse Mayo, finished with a squeeze of lime and a dusting of smoked paprika — this is the side dish that disappears first, every time. The Farmhouse Mayo is rich and just tangy enough to stand up to the char of the grill. Serve it whole on the cob for a casual, hands-on moment that guests always love.

Dessert — Rustic Berry Galette

A free-form galette filled with summer berries and finished with a dollop of Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Jam stirred into the filling for depth and sweetness. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream and let the imperfect, golden edges be part of the charm — this is rustic entertaining at its most beautiful. It is the kind of dessert that makes people ask for the recipe before they have even finished their slice.
